Ask your team chat. Get grounded, cited answers.
RecallHQ is a Slack bot that answers questions from your team’s own conversations. It searches the channels you can see, and every answer links to the messages it came from.

How an answer is made
- 01 · Capture
Invite the bot
RecallHQ imports the channel history Slack exposes, then follows new messages, edits, and deletions.
- 02 · Index
Chunk by thread
Each message, and each thread in pieces of up to 600 tokens, gets an embedding and a full-text index.
- 03 · Retrieve
Two searches, fused
Vector and keyword search return 30 chunks each. Reciprocal rank fusion merges them.
- 04 · Rerank
Judge relevance
A decision model scores the top 10 messages for how well each one answers your question.
- 05 · Answer
Cite or stay quiet
The answer must cite message IDs from the evidence. If a citation doesn’t check out, no answer is shown.
Find the context behind the conversation
Your team has already discussed the plan, the tradeoff, and the fix. RecallHQ helps you find that context without remembering the exact wording or who posted it.
- Ask: get an answer with supporting message links.
- Search: retrieve ranked excerpts from conversations.
- Catch up: recap a date range with decisions and next steps.
- Summarize: turn an indexed Slack thread into a concise summary.
Add RecallHQ to your workspace and invite it into selected public or private channels. It imports the history Slack makes available and indexes new messages and thread replies. Commands search ingested channels you belong to. Your membership is checked before retrieval and again before the answer is delivered. Replies stay private and link back to Slack.
